Oklahoma State University, founded in 1890, is a leading land-grant institution. Its athletic teams, known as the Cowboys, are funded independently through sports revenue.

Cowboys Football

Oklahoma State’s football program, established in 1901, competes in the Big 12 Conference. The Cowboys have appeared in 33 bowl games, winning 21, and boast a strong tradition of high-scoring offenses.
