Texas A&M History

Texas A&M University, founded in 1876, is one of the largest universities in the United States. Its athletic teams, known as the Aggies, are funded independently.

Texas A&M Football

Texas A&M’s football program, established in 1894, competes in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The team claims three national championships (1919, 1927, 1939) and has appeared in 42 bowl games, winning 20. The “12th Man” tradition highlights the passion of Aggies fans.
