Bearcats History

The University of Cincinnati, founded in 1819, is a leading institution in Ohio. Its athletic programs, known as the Bearcats, are financially independent, supported by revenues from sports operations.

Bearcats Football

Cincinnati’s football program, established in 1885, has seen a significant rise in prominence. Competing in the Big 12 Conference, the Bearcats have participated in 23 bowl games, winning 10. In 2021, they made history as the first Group of Five team to qualify for the College Football Playoff. Notable coaches include Luke Fickell and Brian Kelly.
