Texas Christian University, established in 1873, is a private university in Fort Worth, Texas. Its athletic teams, known as the Horned Frogs, are funded through sports revenue.

TCU’s football program, established in 1896, competes in the Big 12 Conference. The Horned Frogs have claimed two national championships (1935, 1938) and have appeared in 36 bowl games, winning 18. Legendary coach Gary Patterson is a notable figure in the program’s history.
